LogisticsLab/TPP

A transportation model is intended to organise an optimal supply of homogeneous goods between a set of sources (origins, suppliers) and a set of sinks (destinations, customers). Usually the total costs of shipment are to be minimised.

This task is often found in different real logistics problems, including the following examples:

  • Determining optimal supply relationships between plants and warehouses as well as distribution centres and customer areas,
  • Design of the distribution of industrial companies to minimize transportation and production costs through optimal adjustment of production capacities and material flows,
  • Minimizing procurement through optimization of supply relationships,
  • Optimal distribution of resources at bottleneck capacities.

LogisticsLab / TPP is a software that allows solving Transportation Problems and Bottleneck Transport Problems in different variants (capacitated, non-capacitated, single-source, with supply or demand surplus, etc.).
